Moved to my next apartment on Sunday — the third time I’ve moved in four weeks (maybe I mentioned that already?). It now feels like I really live here instead of just like I’m vacationing. My new neighborhood is so much more interesting than Crystal City just in terms of the architecture. This little house near my new place reminds me of the house in Up!, the one that gets built around but never over.
In other news, I went to a WordPress DC meetup tonight. My second: I went to one in March. It’s so bizarre to think that I can go to things like that on a regular basis now. Though ONADC might be too early for me to reliably make it. :-( I need to make the effort to get out, though. It’s too easy for me to resort to sitting alone on my computer, and I need to be out there meeting people! It’s odd: There are so many people out there, yet I almost don’t really know how to go about getting to know them. In a sense, I feel like the little house — the little bit of quirkiness, with all its flaws, surrounded by giants that all look and operate the same.
Soldier on, little house.
